The Joe Gqabi Women Entrepreneur Awards (WEA) 2026 and Extension and Advisory Services Awards (EASA) 2026 were successfully held at the Steynsburg Indoor Sports Centre, honouring the remarkable achievements of women entrepreneurs and agricultural extension officials across the district.
Women in agriculture were recognised for their outstanding contributions in the Smallholder Farmer and Agro-Processor categories, while Extension and Advisory Services officials received awards in the Best Extension Practitioner (Certified), Best Extension Practitioner (Candidate), and Legend Award categories.
Addressing attendees, Mr Mthobeli Sonjica, District Director for Joe Gqabi, expressed his appreciation to all participants and stakeholders who contributed to the success of the event.
