EC Agriculture advances sustainable agricultural development
The Eastern Cape Department of Agriculture has reaffirmed its commitment to strengthening farmer development, agricultural commercialisation and household food security.
DoA held its two-day Strategic Planning Session at Ku-Gompo City, under the theme “Strengthening implementation of key agricultural initiatives to drive food security and economic growth through resource mobilisation and comprehensive support”.
The Department is prioritising improved access to finance, strategic partnerships and the leveraging of public resources to unlock greater investment in the sector.
These interventions are aimed at building financially sustainable farmers, increasing local food production and creating economic opportunities across the province.
