The Eastern Cape Department of Agriculture hosted an Extension and Advisory Services programme for monitoring visits and planning for 2027/2028 financial year.
The first day kicked off with project visits in Port St John’s at the Mgxabakazi project, Glengazi farm, Amagingqi farming project, and Dumisa farm.
The visit was also embraced by the National department with all district Managers and the M&E unit from the department.
Day two commenced with presentations from each district on how they have implemented the Extension Services to farmers in line with the Extension Recovery Plan for the first quarter.
The discussions were about the ways to assist farmers to reach markets for their produces and close gaps where they fell behind.
