The third day of the Eastern Cape Agriculture Investment Plan workshop which is spearheaded by the Department of Agriculture is underway in Ku-Gompo City at the Summit Lifestyle Facility.

The workshop seeks to come up with tangible and implementable plans that will see development of agricultural enterprises across the province following an investment from the World Bank.

The plans give direction on how farmers can be assisted to grow, reach greater heights and unlock their full potential.

The investment plan is scheduled to be submitted in October.

Stakeholders including the Eastern Cape Rural Development Agency (ECRDA), World Bank, National and Provincial departments of Treasury, Agriculture, Land Reform and Rural Development and Water and Sanitation, and Land Bank are taking part in the robust discussions about the development of the province through the agricultural value chain.
